Testimonials
Recorded Testimonial from Joanne, Mother of the Bride
To say we are obsessed with your performance last night is an understatement. You guys rocked the house and made our dreams come true !! I am recommending you to everyone I know. Someone we know has already booked you for the fall (Lauren H.).
Thanks again.
-Meredith
We just wanted to extend a HUGE thank you. Y'all were the highlight of the reception and we are still getting comments from guests about how great the band was and how much fun y'all were. Thank you for letting me steal the tambourine at one point and for letting Dennis and his groomsman Jake hop up and play with the band for a bit.
- Alexis
“Amazing! Would call them again!
Could not have asked for a better band! We asked them to play our first song, the father daughter, and the mother son dances live. Other than that, we really let them decide what to play. Cecilio, the leader, spoke with us after we had them booked and got a feel for what we wanted. Without much instruction, they ran with it. They were booked to play from 8PM to 1AM. Long story short, our guests never sat down, they danced all night. Even my 81 year old grandmother spent hours on the dance floor. We were having so much fun we asked them to play an extra hour. They played a huge variety of songs and everyone loved them. We chose to fly them in after reading other reviews and it paid off. We had multiple options but we chose to go with six band members plus their engineer. We live in El Paso, TX, and flew them in from Austin. The sound engineer drove with all the equipment. Because of the distance, we did provide them with hotel rooms for the night of the wedding. They were awesome! If I ever have to plan a large event like this again, I will call them and see if they are available. Without question would book them again!”
- Lauren
From a Wedding Photographer's Perspective:
“I have endured my fair share of good and bad wedding bands/music and these guys were one of the best wedding bands I've ever heard! They were so entertaining, without trying to steal the show. Their music selection was such a great mix, you would think it was a dj. The voices were phenomenal and so diverse. They literally could sing anything. I would highly recommend using this band for your wedding or event!”
- Bethany
Hire this band!
I hired London Calling sight unseen after going to see a handful of other bands live and hating all of them. But the risk totally paid off. These guys are amazing, just take my word for it. A lot of other bands are super cheesy but they are just down-to-earth, cool guys that know how to jam. They also played everything I asked them to. Our dance floor never stopped--they even played an encore when no one wanted to leave!”
- Elizabeth
London calling is incredible!!!!
My fiancé and I had just picked them off of Gig Masters based on reviews and MP3s and were blown away!!! Having a good dance party at our wedding was so important To us and they really know how to work a crowd. People commented all night how awesome they were. Many thanks to London Calling for their talent and attention to us having a night to remember.”
- Elizabeth
“London Calling was the perfect band for our corporate function! They were super nice and punctual. Plus, the musicians and vocalists were awesome!”
- Andrea
“London Calling was fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a professional sounding band with a great variety of songs. They are simply the best. We used them for our daughters wedding reception.”
- Ronnie
“I just wanted to let you know that London Calling was a hit. They were great and we got so many compliments. We had quite a few people come up to us and say they were the best wedding band they have ever heard. They played exactly what we were looking for. My husband put on a little performance too that the band went along with and really appreciate that. They were really fantastic and appreciate the recommendation. One of my friends went to school with one of the band members and liked them so much they are going to talk to them about playing in their wedding in August. thanks again”
- Heather and Alan
“It's been a while since you guys played our gig (we just got back from our honeymoon in Australia, which was awesome, but kept us out of touch with everyone), but Dana and I just wanted to let you guys know that not only did we think you guys did an awesome job -everything from song selection and mixing the music up, to the quality of the sound and performance, but we have also received numerous compliments from guests specifically saying how much they enjoyed y'alls performance and how the dance floor was always movin' and shakin'. Everyone we've talked to has said that they can't remember ever having as much fun at any other wedding they've been to and a great deal of that is obviously because you guys kept them entertained. We thank you very much and are very grateful to Gentry for having introduced us to you and having got to meet you and the band to do our wedding. If there's anything we can do to help pass the word along (on a website or whatever), please let us know.” Take care and best,
- Mike & Dana
“I just wanted to say thank you for booking London Calling for our DG Formal this past Friday. They were absolutely amazing... so much fun. Everyone loved them! All the girls even said they want to make this band thing a tradition every year. So thank you so much!”
- Megan
“London Calling was the perfect band for our wedding reception. From the dinner set to the last dance, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the band, even Grandma! Great variety band.”
- Don and Becky
“What can I say? You all are AWESOME! You all just made the night for us. People all got out to dance immediately and that is what we wanted. You did a great job getting people going. You all are great entertainers as well as musicians. Great variety. I would recommend you all to anyone! So many people want to hire you for their events. Thanks for making an already very special evening so memorable! Hope to see you at our 50th!”
- Elizabeth
“I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed you guys rockin’ with us last night. I commented to both the bass player and the horn player that they were getting funky with me last night. You also are quite talented on the skins. We couldn’t ask for a better band to play at such a special event. Hope to see you next summer.”
- Joel
“To say you were fantastic when you played at our wedding at the Driskill Hotel in Austin on August 9 would be a huge understatement. You rocked! The dance floor was packed the entire night, which was exactly what we wanted. You truly made our wedding the event that it was. We still get compliments from our friends and family members who were in attendance. Everyone loved you and numerous people told us you were the best band they’d ever heard and how much fun you were. So thank you. Our wedding night wouldn’t have been what it was without you.” Sincerely,
- Tania and Tres
“We booked London Calling from you for our daughter's March 29 wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. I wanted to let you know that you really came through once again! London Calling was wonderful. Everything they played was marvelous and almost everyone made a positive comment about the professionalism and quality of the entertainment. I think they made the reception the fantastic party that it was. Please let the band know how pleased we were. We didn't have a chance to talk with them at the end. Thanks again for all your help!” Sincerely,
- Pat
